The client had taken over the family’s original homestead which was in a state of close to ruin. With the homes new renovation, the client requested a modern rustic looking kitchen, but with a practicality of day to day family life. The client was very keen on keeping some of the homesteads original charm as well as re-using some of its original materials to create older style features incorporated into a modern day kitchen.
Kitchen Benchtop (sink side) – Laminex, Citrus halftone HPL with exposed birch ply edging.
Kitchen Benchtop (oven side) – Brushed Stainless Steel.
Sink – Heritage Hardware.
Hardware Drawers – Blum Antaro runners.
Back Splash – Subway tile with yellow grout.

This was a new build and the client wanted a modern kitchen with clean lines and a feeling of warmth. American White Oak was used to bring the requested warm tones to the space.
Queens Road Kitchen
A renovation of an old bungalow house with limited space. Owners reduced the wall size in living room to allow better access and give the impression of a larger kitchen area.
Porter / Neilson Kitchen
Renovation to 1970 bungalow. The brief was to design an open plan kitchen for a busy young family who entertain often. Lots of cupboard space and pantry storage were also requested.
This was a renovation of a 1950 house. Existing kitchen space was used. The owners required more storage space and a small separation from the dining room area. A tight time frame to complete the renovation also.
