Kitchen & Joinery Installer

Bays Joinery is a customer focused business, that designs & builds award winning joinery for residential & commercial clients. We service the Nelson and Blenheim regions from facilities in both locations.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking another person to join our awesome team.

If you are an experienced installer with more than 5 years joinery or cabinetmaking experience, then we would love to hear from you.

Wages, contract - or contractor looking for more work

In this role, you will be responsible for the successful outcome of projects, including kitchens, house lots of residential furniture, wardrobes and a variety of commercial work.

The successful applicant will have; 

  • A positive can-do attitude with problem solving abilities
  • Self motivated, reliable and well organised
  • At least 5 years joinery or cabinet making experience and qualifications
  • Leadership qualities with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to perform under pressure and take responsibility

Senior Project Manager / Detailer

Based in Stoke with a factory & showroom on site, we are seeking an experienced Programmer/Detailer with project management skills and experience who will be responsible for the successful outcome of custom projects including full house lots of residential furniture, individual kitchens, wardrobes and a variety of commercial work.

Responsibilities:

  • Site measuring Detailing and CNC programming using up to date software, including Microvellum.  Experience in other CAD / CAM systems will be advantageous
  • Purchasing materials and issuing work to subcontractors
  • Designing workflow sequence, cut lists and parts management
  • The successful outcome of projects that lead to completion, on time, within budget

The successful applicant will have the following attributes and skills; 

  • A positive attitude with problem solving abilities.
  • Logical thinking and strong computer skills.
  • At least 5yrs joinery or cabinet making experience and qualifications.
  • Ability to follow and improve procedures
  • Self-motivated, reliable and well organized.
  • Leadership qualities with excellent communication skills.
  • Able and willing to adapt to achieve the best result for the business, its customers and the team
  • Ability to perform under pressure and take responsibility
